This project is a pioneering project that redefines productivity enhancement by merging the realms of art and technology within workspaces. This initiative delves into the inventive application of dynamic background lighting, aiming to address procrastination and elevate time management practices. By infusing work environments with aesthetically pleasing yet functional design elements, this project leverages light intensity and color variations to bolster user focus and task commitment.
Process
The development journey was anchored in the concept of Informative Art, guiding the project's evolution from an abstract idea to a tangible, interactive solution. The process began with in-depth research into how environmental factors, particularly lighting, affect productivity and emotional states. Following this exploration, the project entered the prototyping phase, where various designs were conceptualized, created, and refined based on feedback from potential users, including students and professionals. User testing played a crucial role, providing insights that shaped the final design — a dynamic keyboard that seamlessly transitions from a captivating painting to an interactive productivity tool. This ensures that the device remains a constant, engaging presence in the user's workspace, encouraging interaction and enhancing task management through visual cues.
